Former India skipper Virat Kohli has replied to Pakistan skipper Babar Azam's heartwarming tweet which made headlines. In his tweet, Azam wrote 'This shall too pass. Stay Strong'. The tweet was on the back of another batting failure of Virat Kohli. After playing some eye-pleasing drives, he got out on the score of 16.

At a time when a lot of former India cricketers are calling for Virat to be dropped from the team, he found a supporting hand from Pakistan. After a few hours of the tweet, the Lahore player was asked about his tweet during a media interaction. The right-hander said that in a situation such as this, Kohli needs to be backed.

“I just feel that in the present situation Kohli needs support and to be backed. I tweeted wishing him the best because I know how a player feels when he is going through this period and he needs the support of everyone.”

However, the Pakistan skipper didn't get an instant reply from his Indian counterpart. This is why Shahid Afridi wasn't happy with the 33-year-old. The 2009 20-20 World Cup winner said that Babar has given a great message but also felt that Virat won't reply to his Tweet.

“Babar has given across an incredible message. I don’t know if there has been a response from the other side. I think Virat should have responded by now. It would be a very big thing if there is a response to Babar’s tweet, but I don’t think that is going to happen,” he said on SAMAA TV.

However, it feels like the 102-Test veteran has proved Afridi wrong. Just moments ago, the former India skipper has replied to the tweet. He said "Thank You. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best.

After the tweet, the critics can finally rest while the fans of both players can rejoice although they won't be getting any reason to quarrel with each other on social media.
