The Bangalore outfit will play their first 3 IPL matches in Chennai, before flying to Mumbai. The RCB side will open their 2021 IPL campaign against five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians on 9th April 2021. Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the IPL. The batting colossus has plundered 5878 runs in IPL at an average of 38.16. Kohli has also scored as many as 5 centuries in the T20 extravaganza.

Even though Kohli has found astronomical success with the bat for RCB, the Bangalore outfit has not won the IPL trophy even once. Even when Kohli was at the peak of his game and scored 973 runs in the 2016 edition of the IPL, the Bangalore outfit lost the summit clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Last year, RCB had a decent season and made it to the playoffs. They'd look to play with same consistency in the 2021 edition and will hope to taste glory this time around. The likes of AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Daniel Christian, Yuzvendra Chahal and Devdutt Padikkal will be key to RCB's success alongside Kohli.
