The Viking Cup 2025 is set to feature four rising European cricket teams — Austria, Norway, Sweden, and France — competing for glory. The entire tournament will be hosted at the Botkyrka Cricket Center in Stockholm.
Scheduled to run from August 7 to August 10, the competition will consist of eight matches. Each team will face the other three once in a round-robin stage. Following that, the top two sides in the standings will move on to the final, while the remaining two teams will battle it out in the 3rd place play-off.
The tournament will be played in the T20 format. So far this year, Austria have been the most active and successful among the participating teams, featuring in 24 T20 Internationals, winning 18, losing five, with one match ending without a result. Norway have taken part in 11 T20Is, securing six victories and suffering five defeats.
France, on the other hand, have played only three T20Is in 2025 and are still in search of their first win, having lost all three. Meanwhile, Sweden have also played three T20Is this year, managing to win one and losing the remaining two.
