Australia batsman Usman Khawaja is in awe of the Indian pace attack, which he feels is the best in the world right now. For several years, Indians were trolled for having a bleak bowling attack. The spinners did the job in India but in away matches, where the conditions were favourable for pacers, India didn’t have the resources to exploit the conditions. This was one of the main reasons for India’s miserable record in overseas matches. But it's getting better now with India having plenty in their arsenal. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Siraj form a lethal attack. Few excellent options are warming the bench as well.

Khawaja was all praise for Bumrah stating that his awkward action and the variety of deliveries he can bowl makes him a genius. The southpaw also lauded the experienced campaigner Ishant Sharma for his accuracy. Talking about Mohammed Shami, Khawaja opined that Shami is the most underrated bowler in the world, adding that he generates good pace and has a beautiful seam.

“In my opinion the Indian bowling lineup right now is the best bowling lineup in the world, yes there are awesome bowlers all around the world, but that lineup is unbelievable. Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowlers in the world right now, awkward action, great bouncer, great skills, slow ball, he is a genius and jet and bowling like one right now. Ishant Sharma, he’s a skillful bowler, he also bowls a really good length, he’s been there for such a long time that experience is invaluable in these conditions.

Third, I think is the most underrated bowler in the world, in my opinion, Mohammed Shami, he’s actually a lot quicker than you think, I think that’s one of his skill sets and he always has that seam in a beautiful position but no one really talks about him genuine thing he is such a big part of that bowling lineup and people forget about him,” said Khawaja on his YouTube channel.

Mohammed Siraj has been a valuable addition to the Indian attack. The right-armer bowl with great pace and has a brilliant inswinger. Siraj has taken the most wickets for India this season and is second on the list of most wickets in the ongoing Test series against England. Khawaja termed Siraj as a very skilful bowler.

“Lastly, Siraj, he was coping a bit of stick throughout the summer you can tell he’s getting wickets he’s walking by. he is a very skillful bowler too faced him in the A series maybe three years ago in India, he bought an unbelievable spell and when I saw him that I knew he was going to be a very good Test bowler,” concluded Khawaja.
