Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a 20-20 competition that happens every year in Pakistan. The next edition will be the eighth one that will take place in 2023. Six different teams participate in this tournament where top Pakistan cricketers like Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi get to play for their respective franchises.

Shaheen Afridi is the captain of Lahore Qalandars. Speaking of the franchise, they finished at the bottom spot in the points table in each of the first four seasons of the PSL. In the 2020 edition, they managed their first appearance in the final of the competition. However, Shaheen Afridi led the team to the trophy in the last edition of the Pakistan Super League.

Shaheen Afridi won the league at 22 years of age in 2022

In the last season, Fakhar Zaman was the highest run-scorer with 588 runs in 13 matches, at an average of 45.23. On the other hand, Shaheen Afridi was the highest wicket-taker. He took 20 wickets in 13 matches, at an economy of 7.57. Thus, he became the youngest skipper ever to win a T20 league at the age of 22 years. After winning PSL, Shaheen said: ” It’s a great achievement. We have been waiting for 6 years and I want to thank the Lahore crowd. They have come out in numbers and supported us throughout.”

“A lot of people supported me, Hafeez guided me during a lot of pressure moments so thanks to all who supported me. The fight we showed as a team throughout the tournament is really fantastic and we had that attitude to fight till the last ball,” he added. Now, ahead of the next season, Lahore Qalandars shared an image of Shaheen Afridi with a new official logo. They also claimed that the star cricketer was the designer of the logo. But, some fans found that the logo was already there available on Google and they claimed that it was just copy-pasted from that source.

Here is how fans have reacted to the copy-pasted logo by Shaheen Afridi for Lahore Qalandars:
