On day four of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final, Australia managed to score 270 runs for eight wickets. Then, they declared their second innings and set a 444-run target for India to win this epic final at the Oval. Then, for India, Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma came out as openers.

They gave a good start to the team but Gill got out on the first delivery of the eight over in a controversial manner. Boland’s ball took an edge of Gill’s bat and Green took an outrageous catch to dismiss him. But, the batter and on-field umpires were not sure as the decision went upstairs. Richard Kettleborough was the TV umpire. He looked from different angles and finally adjusted Gill out. Fans and Indian players were not happy as it seemed that the ball would have touched the ground.
