In a shocking piece of news, senior Indian pacer Umesh Yadav has reportedly fallen prey to a big cheating of INR 44 lakh by his own friend Shailesh Thakre. Notably, Thakre was also the manager of Indian cricketers since 2014. Now he is a suspect of cheating with Umesh Yadav under the pretense of buying land in Maharashtra’s Nagpur.

The news has been broken in the media following the official statement from the Police regarding the same issue. A police official informed that the case of cheating was filed in the name of Shailesh Thakre after receiving a complaint by Umesh Yadav who himself is a resident of Nagpur.

Umesh’s friend Thakre (37) is a native of Karadi and the former’s friend for a very long time. Although the police haven’t arrested anyone so far.

Almost nine years back in the year 2014 when Umesh Yadav was picked for the national side of Team India, he appointed his long-time friend as his manager. Yadav offered this job to Thakre as he was unemployed, said the official while explaining the FIR.

Here's what police said on the fraud with Umesh Yadav

"Thakre gained the trust of Yadav over time. He started handling all the financial affairs of Umesh Yadav. He used to handle Yadav's bank account, income tax, and other financial tasks,” said the police official.

"Thakre located a plot in a barren area. He told Yadav he would get it for Rs 44 lakh. Yadav deposited Rs 44 lakh in Thakre's bank account. However, Thakre purchased the plot in his name,” he added later.

Furthermore, the official also informed us about the procedure of filing a case against Thakre for allegedly doing fraud with his friend and Indian cricketer Umesh Yadav.

"Yadav lodged a complaint with police in Koradi, following which a case was registered under sections 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust) and 420 (Cheating and thereby dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Indian Penal Code," concluded the police official.
