Twitter has removed verified badge - the blue tick from Chennai Super Kings(CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s official Twitter handle. While there is no clarity on why such a move was made, it is assumed that MS Dhoni’s lack of interaction on Twitter might be the reason for the same. Dhoni does not use his Twitter account too often and mostly shares the post on Instagram.
Dhoni’s last Tweet dated back to January 2021 which was a link of his Instagram story. While the former Indian skipper has retired from international cricket, he has not seen a dip in his popularity and continues to be one of the most celebrated cricketers around the globe.
Dhoni will next be seen in action in the second leg of the Indian Premier League in UAE. The three-time champions had a miserable outing in the previous edition and were the first team to be knocked out in the playoffs.
However, taking a leaf out of their campaign in 2020, CSK looked at their very best in the 2021 edition, winning five of their seven games. The skipper, though, has looked out of touch and will be keen to deliver some match winning performances in what could be his last IPL as a player.
