Finally, there is great news for the Indian Cricket fans as former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli has scored his 71st international century. He has achieved this feat in international cricket after a long wait of 3 years. Last time, it was the November of 2019 when the right-hander scored a century against Bangladesh in a Test match.
Kohli smashed 122 runs off just 61 balls with 12 boundaries and six massive sixes against Bangladesh in the last match of their campaign in the Asia Cup 2022. India has been knocked out of the tournament after losing two consecutive matches against Pakistan and then Sri Lanka in the super-4 round of the tournament.

Talking about the match between India and Afghanistanso far, the Indians posted a big total of 212 runs for the loss of only two wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Apart from Virat’s century, stand-in skipper and senior batter KL Rahul also played a knock of 62 runs off 41 balls with six boundaries and two sixes to his name. Fareed Ahmed was the only bowler who scalped two wickets for Afghanistan.
While chasing the target, the Afghan side is looking in a very miserable condition as they have lost their seven wickets only on the score of 77 runs in 16.3 overs. Senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled brilliantly and scalped the five wickets by conceding only four runs in his quota of four overs with one maiden in his account.
Looking at the Indian side, then they are playing without having Rohit Sharma in the playing XI. He has decided to take a rest from this match due to the tough conditions in the Arab region.
