Every single individual in the South Asian cricketing fraternity was expecting a grand final between the arch-rivals and two Asian Giants of cricket, India, and Pakistan. After winning the first semi-final against New Zealand, Babar Azam-led Pakistan added an inch to the expectations of the Indo-Pak fans. But unfortunately, the Indian team’s defeat in the second semi-final against England made the fans wait for another time being to see this iconic clash.

India’s loss in the second semi-final against England didn’t stay up to the field only and it ignited a lot of debates, discussions, and controversies outside of the field and above the top, the involvement of renowned faces like Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif.

While taking a dig and insulting remarks for the Indian team, the 71-year-old state head of Pakistan forgot for once that he is representing the nation as the Prime Minister.

"So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0 #T20WorldCup," wrote Pak PM in his tweet while referring to India’s previous loss of 10-wicket and recent outing against England in the second semi-final of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

These remarks for the national side didn’t go down well with the fans of the men in blue and they did no late in lashing out at Sharif for what he did.

“Economy sambhal lo pehle baad m cricket dekhna. world cup me humse hare ho bss itna yaad rakho,” said a user Twitter while responding PML-N chief’s tweet.

“Your PCB chairman openly said of India pulls the plug Pakistan Cricket team will not even exist. 90% of all ICC funding is from Indian businesses. Modi can end your team on a click of a button. Aukaat!” wrote another user referring to the old statement of PCB chairman Ramiz Raja.

“A tweet like this coming from the Prime Minister shows the state of this country,” added another user in series of counter attacks on Shehbaz Sharif.

“Tum Prime Minister ki seat chor kr memer bnjao,” reads the frustrating comment from another user who was unhappy with Sharif’s tweet.
