Team India registered another victory against Australia in the second Test in Delhi on 19 February 2023. Thus, they have now an unassailable lead of 2-0 over the visitors. However, Ravindra Jadeja has been the top player for the home side in these two matches. He also managed to win two player of the match awards for his all-around contributions.

Now, after the completion of the Delhi Test, Jadeja came up with a funny Instagram story where he shared a screenshot of his account. It showed that he is currently following one person and he wrote: “Following my friend @nath.lyon421 for 24hrs”. It all started from an on-field banter between the team India all-rounder and the Aussie spinner.

During the second Test, Ravindra Jadeja was seen having a banter with the Aussie spinner when Australia were batting in the first innings. Nathan Lyon was at the non-striker end and he was clearly heard on the stump mic asking Jadeja to follow him on Instagram. After the match, the star all-rounder fulfilled the Aussie spinner’s wish by following him on that social media platform. Speaking about the performances from Ravindra Jadeja in this series so far, he took seven wickets and scored 70 runs in the first Test in Nagpur. 

Then, in the Delhi Test. Jadeja took 10 wickets and scored valuable 26 runs. In Australia’s second innings, he bamboozled the Aussie batters with his career-best bowling figures. He took seven wickets for 42 runs in 12.1 overs. While speaking after the second match, Jadeja said: “I think I was enjoying my bowling. These wickets suit me because the oddball spins and some stay low. I knew they’d play sweeps and reverse sweeps, so my idea was just to keep it simple and straight. I knew they were looking for runs, so the plan was just to bowl into the stumps. If they make a mistake, I have a chance. Don’t think the sweep is a good option against me on this kind of wicket (laughs and walks off).”
