However, after the victory in the fourth ODI, the Men in Green became the new no.1 side in ODIs in the world. Thus, they became the number one side for the first time in their history. Before this series, they were fifth on the rankings with a rating of 106. However, they need to win the next game to remain on the top. Otherwise, a loss can make them slip to the third position.

Seeing this massive achievement, fans were really happy and they congratulated the team on social media. But, a well-known Condom manufacturing company came up with a hilarious tweet regarding it to take a dig at other nations below them in the rankings. They shared the image of the ranking table with a cheeky caption: “The position we all want! #DurexPakistan #ODI.” The tweet went viral instantly and seeing that, fans went crazy. They slammed the Men in Green on social media platforms.

After the victory in the fourth ODI, Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam gave credit to the team and all staff members for achieving the No. 1 spot in ODIs. He said: "Credit goes to the entire team and support staff for becoming the No.1 ranked ODI team. We build the momentum and worked towards this goal. Everybody put in the effort and stuck together in difficult times. I think my journey has been good, I joined the camp on this very day nine years ago, and there have been ups and down, but the support from my family, PCB, and above all my teammates has been amazing."
