completed his 50th ODI hundred. With this, he went past his former teammate and the legend of the game, Sachin Tendulkar. The latter reached the landmark of 49 hundred in the Asia Cup 2012 game against Bangladesh. With this, the Master Blaster reached his 100th international hundred, combining all formats.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore player had a dream year in 2016 across all formats for India and his IPL franchise. After a successful T20 World Cup with the bat, the right-hander scored 973 runs in 16 games including the final and four hundreds. In 2022, Jos Buttler tried his best but managed to get 863 runs, including four hundreds, equalling Kohli's record.
5. Highest average as Test captain
The two-time World Test Championship finalist had an astonishing average of 72.65 across 95 matches. In these matches, he accumulated 5,449 runs. Behind him, MS Dhoni had 6,641 runs at a noteworthy average of 53.5 across 200 games while Sourav Ganguly scored 5,104 runs over 147 matches, maintaining a batting average of 38.66.
