'Toh nind kyu nahi ayii match harne ke baad' - Fans react to Babar Azam's 'We are not only playing against India' statement

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, like other players has said that the team won't be concentrating only on the game against India in the ODI World Cup. Apparently, the team will play their third game of the tournament against India. India has been unbeaten against the Green Brigade on 50-over World Cups. They have played against each other seven times.

Only three months are left at the start of the tournament. Azam spoke to the media and was asked about the game. He, like some of his teammates has said that the team is concentrating not only on India game but also against others

"I've been hearing a lot. We are going to play the World Cup, not to play against India. Barring India, there are other different teams whom we have to play against. If we can beat them, we will play the final. Our focus is not on one team but all 10 of them. Our plan is to play well against all teams, win matches and then secure a ticket of the final," the Pakistan captain said.

Notably, there was a time when PCB requested the Indian Cricket Board and Apex Council to swap some venues. The cricketing committee of the Pakistan side wanted their game against Afghanistan from Chennai to Bangalore. Apart from this, they wanted to shift their game against Australia from Bangalore to Chennai. However, the requested was denied.

"Our thought is simple. Wherever there is cricket, there are matches… we have to go and play. As a professional, you have to be ready for everything – play in different conditions and environment. This is what we call challenge. As a player and captain, my aim is to go to every country and perform well, dominate and win matches for Pakistan. So that is what is on our minds and not that we have to play well against one team," Babar added.
