‘Toh kya naachun!’ - Fans react as Samantha Prabhu set to appear in pre-match show of CSK vs DC in IPL 2023

On 10 May 2023, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing IPL. Currently, CSK are in the second position with 13 points in 11 matches while DC are in the last position with eight points in 10 matches. So, MS Dhoni and his men will look for another win in front of the home crowd.

While DC will look for their fifth win of the season at Chepauk. Now, ahead of the clash, news have come out that the well-known actress, Samantha Prabhu is going to appear in the pre-match show of the CSK vs DC clash. Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their mixed reactions on social media.

CSK vs DC will be the 55th match of IPL 2023

Samantha Prabhu is an actress who works in Tamil and Telegu films. But, fans left surprised and shocked to see her getting appeared in the show ahead of the clash at Chepauk. CSK defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) in their last game while DC defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their last game. Therefore, both teams will look to continue their winning run at Chepauk.

After the MI victory, CSK skipper MS Dhoni said: “Crucial game for a simple reason: the middle of the table has a logjam. This win gives a cushion, but we can't get comfortable with it because one or two teams are close and are facing each other. We haven't had a couple of games go in our way, so, good to be on the winning side. Frankly I was slightly doubtful, I wanted to bat first, but the think tank together said there is chances of rain.” 

“I had a simple calculation that the game starts at 3:30pm and if we are batting first and get about 2 hours to play, major part of the game would be done with. But I was slightly outnumbered and I said 'let's go with the majority. Ultimately, our strength has been to talk about things and decide what's best for the team and go with the majority when there's confusion. As I said, it was slightly confusing as I felt the wicket could slow down. It has always been very good initially and I strongly felt that the rain would come after the majority of the game is done and would not have a big impact,” Dhoni concluded.
