Mumbai are unarguably the greatest team to have played in the Indian T20 league. Out of the five titles which they have won, three of them have come in the last five years. However, with the mega auction coming, they will have to build a new side. As the Sharma-led side have always believed in having world-class pacers, they will certainly have their eyes on a few fast bowlers in the mega auction. Today, we shall be taking a look at three pacers Mumbai may target in the mega auction.

1) Trent Boult:

Trent Boult played a crucial role in ensuring that the Mumbai-based franchise win their fifth title in 2020. In that season, he picked 25 wickets in 15 games and was the third-highest wicket-taker in that edition of the tournament. Besides, his death bowling has significantly improved as well. Thus, there's a huge chance of seeing the Kiwi pacer represent the five-time champions once again.

2) Mark Wood:

Mark Wood is one of the most improved T20 bowlers. His ability to hit the deck hard is commendable, to say the least. Besides, having him in the side allows the Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma to bowl Jasprit Bumrah a little earlier than he usually does. The English pacer has picked 26 wickets in 19 T20Is. Last but not the least, the conditions in Wankhede might just suit his bowling.

3) Pat Cummins:

Pat Cummins seems to be the ideal solution to Mumbai's issues. Not only can he bowl with the new ball, but he can also break crucial partnerships in the middle overs. This gives them the luxury to preserve Bumrah's overs for the end. It is to be noted that the Aussie pacer has the ability to swing the ball as well. Taking his experience into account, he could do wonders for the team in blue. In the 37 games in which he has played, Cummins has picked 38 wickets in the Indian T20 league.
