Steve Smith is currently busy playing the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India. However, he has failed to perform to his reputation so far in the first two matches. In four innings, Smith has scored 71 runs so far. Along with other batters, he was also seen clueless against the spinners of team India.

Now, a video has gone viral where the star batter was seen picking a player as the future superstar in the world of Cricket. Steve Smith picked the star England batter, Harry Brook over the star India batter Shubman Gill. After hearing such a statement, fans went crazy and shared their views to slam the Australian batter.

Shubman Gill and Harry Brook have been in sensational form for both teams India and England respectively  

Both Shubman Gill and Harry Brook have been two great players for their respective countries across all three formats. Recently, Gill showed his class as he hit centuries in the ODI format. Shubman Gill also hit his maiden T20I ton. In the two-match Test series in Bangladesh, the young batter notched up his maiden Test ton also. However, currently, he is in the squad for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. But, he has failed to get a place in the final playing XI either as an opener or as a middle-order batter. Speaking about Gill’s career, he has scored 736 runs in 25 Test innings at an average of 32.

In 21 ODI innings, he has scored 1254 runs at an average of 73.76. Meanwhile, in six T20Is, Gill has scored 202 runs, including one century. On the other hand, Harry Brook has been a sensational addition to England across all the formats. Speaking about his career, Brook has played five Tests so far where he has scored 623 runs in eight innings. He has batted at an average of 77.87, along with three centuries and three fifties. Apart from it, he has scored 86 runs in three ODIs, at an average of 28.66 while scored 372 runs in 17 T20I innings, at an average of 26.57.
