This is what Ahmedabad franchise will be called in Indian T20 League

The Indian T20 League 2022 is set to be bigger with the addition of two new teams - Lucknow and Ahmedabad. There was a lot of suspense over the names and composition of the new teams. However, most of the details are out now. The only thing that was pending was the name of the Ahmedabad franchise which has now been revealed. The team will be known as Gujarat Titans. Earlier, the Lucknow franchise also revealed their name as Lucknow Super Giants.

The Ahmedabad franchise has roped in Hardik Pandya as their skipper, while they also acquired the services of Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill. Hardik will be played INR 15 core as he was the first retained player by the franchise, while Rashid Khan will also be paid the same amount. Shubman Gill will get a pay-cheque of INR 8 crore.

The team now has a purse of INR 52 crore going into the auction. The franchise has Vikram Solanki as Director of Cricket, while Gary Kirsten will be the batting coach. Ashish Nehra will serve as the head coach.

Meanwhile, Lucknow will have KL Rahul as their skipper, while they will also have the services of Ravi Bishnoi and Marcus Stoinis. Andy Flower will serve as the head coach, while Gautam Gambhir has been roped in as team mentor. Meanwhile, the mega auction is all set to take place on the 12th and 13th February in Bengaluru.
