'This is sensational'- An old advertisement featuring Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim resurfaces on social media

The cricketing world including everyone, be it cricketers or fans, is well aware of the brilliance and excellence delivered by two former legendary Pakistani pacers Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar in their respective eras. They are famously discussed for their lethal and deadly fast bowling which troubled even the best batting lineups in the cricketing World.

After hanging their boots in international cricket, they delivered their services and entertainment for their fans as commentators and panel experts during major cricket events.

But the former legends are in the headlines of social media lately for completely a different reason out of the cricketing field. An almost five-year-old Pakistani commercial from 2017 has gone viral over social media once again. Shoaib and Wasim are featured in this advertisement for the television show Pakistan ‘Geo Khelo Pakistan’.

The depiction of this commercial was based on the outline of the Pakistan-based Punjabi film ‘Maula Jatt’ which was released 43 years back in 1979. Maula Jatt is considered as one of the most favorite characters in the cinema of Pakistan.

The fans have also reacted hilariously to this commercial featuring the two legends of not only Pakistan cricket but international cricket as well. They took no time in heaping their praises and coming up with witty humor while praising Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram.

Talking about the cricket of both legends, Wasim Akram still owns the record for the highest wickets in ODI cricket. He scalped 502 wickets in 356 ODIs alongside 414 Test wickets in 104 matches while playing for Pakistan. While Shoaib Akhtar is still the fastest bowler in the world even after a decade since he announced his retirement from international cricket. Akhtar bowled the fastest delivery to England's Nick Knight in a match against England back in 2003.
