The first Day of the second Test between India and England was marred by controversies. First, it was a close stumping chance of Rohit Sharma that created a lot of buzz on social media and then in a bizarre incident, England were robbed of a review after an umpring blunder, only to be restored later.

It happened on the second ball of the 75th over where Ajinkya Rahane gloved a simple catch to the short leg fielder. The onfield decision was not out so England decided to go for a review. In the first frame, the snicko showed no spike as the onfield decision was upheld by the third umpire.

England were not happy with the decision as the third umpire didn’t watch the full replay which showed the ball kissing Rahane’s glove after hitting the pad. Rahane couldn’t capitalize on the life as he was bowled by Moeen Ali after adding just one more run. Rectifying his error, the third umpire later restored England’s lost review.

India ended the day at 300-6 with Rohit Sharma leading the charge with a magnificent 161. AJinkya Rahane also played well for his 67 as the duo stitched a 162 run stand for the 4th wicket. The score already looks a massive one considering the amount of turn the pitch is offering. If India can add 50 more runs, they'll be way ahead in the game. Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has gone to an extent and said that he’ll be surprised if England beat India in the second Test. The kind of turn the spinners are getting, batting 4th will be a nightmare.
