'There must have been some thought process' - says Bhuvneshwar Kumar on Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid's decision

The pair of head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma has worked a lot in favor of the Indian team in the last couple of months. They both have had an amazing understanding since the time they took charge of their respective responsibilities. India has lost very few matches under the leadership of these two veterans.

India has won both T20I and ODI series at the recently-concluded England before the limited-overs clash against West Indies. Despite of that some of their decisions didn’t go well with the fans and they have raised questions about their moves of shuffling the batting order.

In the first T20I against West Indies, they decided to send Suryakumar Kumar for opening alongside skipper Rohit Sharma himself. This decision was quite a bit out of the box for the cricket fans in India. Even one of the senior players Bhuvneshwar Kumar also talked about this and expressed his opinion.

"I really don't know. Itna pata hai ki zaroor kuch thought process raha hoga (All I know is that there must have been some thought process behind it). It surely wasn't random.

I'm sure whatever the coach and captain want to achieve something out of this. Honestly, I don't know what exactly was the thought process behind it but I'm sure there must've been some deep thinking,” said Bhuvneshwar in his statement over this.

The fans are questioning this experiment because a few days back, the management decided to open the innings with the combination of skipper Rohit Sharma alongside young wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant. And this change came just after two matches from experiments in England.

Speaking of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, then he is consistently in the team from the last couple of assignments of the limited-overs series. He has impressed everyone with his performances with the ball.

The 32-year-old avoided specifically answering the question about Rohit and Rahul’s decision of changing the batting order.
