'Babar Azam can surpass the fab four': Simon Doull

On Saturday, the Blackcaps commentator spoke out about his criticism of Babar and expressed his desire for the Pakistani captain to surpass the fab four (Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, and Joe Root) and become the finest batter in the world.

"When I talk about Babar, I talk about his intent. I have said it a year ago, forget about fab four, he is the top one for me. He was the best player in the world. This is the sort of tournament he should be dominating in my opinion. It is just an opinion," asserted the former Kiwi player.

"He should be dominating these bowling attacks. Not with a strike rate of 120 or 130. I loved his batting and intent today. That’s my point. I love watching him play. He should be saying to bowlers, ‘I am the Pakistan captain and you get me at your own peril, I will dominate you’," the 53-year-old added.
