After playing in the 2019 World Cup semi-final against New Zealand, the Indian captain from the 2013 Champions Trophy Final has announced his retirement from international cricket. At 44, he is still playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

Rohit Sharma

After securing his spot in the team as an opener in the aforementioned event, Rohit has continued to improve and, after retiring from T20Is and Tests, is currently leading the Indian team in ODIs.

Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan, the 2013 Champions Trophy's top run scorer, is currently retired from all competitive cricket activities. Nonetheless, participates in leagues created for former players worldwide.

Virat Kohli

After surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's record for most ODI hundreds in the 2023 World Cup, Virat, who was India's top run scorer in the 2013 final, remains the country's third-ranked player. He was one of just three players from this XI to play for India in the 2025 edition.

Dinesh Karthik

After the 2024 Indian Premier League, Dinesh Karthik withdrew from all forms of cricket and rose to prominence as one of the most sought-after commentators worldwide and as a coach for RCB.

Suresh Raina

During the 2013 Champions Trophy, Suresh Raina wasn't playing at his best. On September 6, 2022, he declared his retirement from cricket in all its forms. He is now a full-time broadcaster.

Ravindra Jadeja

In the 2013 Champions Trophy final, Ravindra Jadeja played a pivotal role with the bat and the ball. After the T20 World Cup final last year, he retired from T20Is, but he is now an important part of India's Test and ODI teams.

Ravichandran Ashwin

The crucial last over of the 2013 Champions Trophy final was delivered by Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin, who is widely considered to be among India's best match-winners, startled supporters by declaring his retirement from international cricket. In the 2025 IPL season, he was still seen playing for the Chennai Super Kings.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Known for his outstanding swing abilities, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has become less active for the Indian cricket squad. The seasoned fast bowler participated in and won the IPL 2025 with Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Ishant Sharma

Ishant Sharma's international career is officially done; he will make his final appearance for India in 2021. However, he has not yet announced his retirement. In the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction, Sharma was purchased by the Gujarat Titans.

Umesh Yadav

The team has already moved on, even if Umesh Yadav hasn't declared his retirement from international cricket. Umesh did not sell at the IPL 2025 mega-auction either.

Irfan Pathan

Irfan Pathan's impressive limited-overs exploits earned him a spot in the Indian team for the 2013 Champions Trophy. He was unable to join the playing XI, though. Pathan ultimately chose to leave cricket after 15 years of service, and he currently works as a cricket commentator.

Vinay Kumar

He was included as a backup seamer in the Indian team for the 2013 Champions Trophy. He hasn't seized the opportunity to showcase his abilities on the global scene since.

Murali Vijay

Despite being a member of the 2013 Champions Trophy team, the opener was forced to watch the entire competition from the sidelines. In 2015, he participated in his final one-day international match for India.

Amit Mishra

Although the leggie was successful in making the Indian squad for the Grand Tournament, he was unable to get a spot in the starting lineup. He is currently a cricket presenter and has declared his retirement.
