The seventh edition of the biggest domestic T20 League of India, Tamil Nadu Premier League is just two days away from its start. The first game of the tournament will be played between Chepauk Super Gillies and Nellai Royal Kings. Just like it used to happen in the Indian T20 League, the TNPL will see teams playing each other in the single-round robin format.

Eight teams will participate in the tournament, with the top four teams at the end of the league stage, will qualify for the playoffs. The league stage will end on July 24, 2022. Notably, there are a few days during the tournament when no matches will be played. From July 1 to 4, 8, 9, 14, 17 to 18, and 25, no games will be played on these dates. The tournament will be played across four venues in Tirunelveli, Salem, Coimbatore, and Dindigul.
