SRH vs LSG, IPL 2023 (Source: Twitter)
After an argument between members of the Hyderabad crowd and LSG supporters near the dugout on Saturday afternoon during the game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants, controversy broke out. Even though the ball appeared to have passed Heinrich Klaasen above the waist, the Sunrisers were unexpectedly refused a no-ball for height, and things seemed to worsen.
The South African had a heated conversation with the leg umpire after being clearly shocked by the ruling, which was finally followed by disorderly crowd activity. The Hyderabad Crowd threw nuts and bolts at the LSG dugout. And, later, Johnty Rhodes clarified, "Not at the dugout, but at the players. They hit Prerak Mankad on the head while he was fielding at long on."
While the South African batter was out in the same over, Klaasen and Abdul Samad's batting partnership lost momentum as the game was stopped for several minutes. Samad could only hit one six in the final over of the innings as the SRH added 9 runs off the next seven deliveries after the incident.
'Disappointed with the crowd, that broke our momentum' – Heinrich Klaasen
Even during the mid-game interview, Klaasen was agitated as he criticised the umpires for making wrong decisions and yelled at the Hyderabad audience. "Disappointed with the crowd. That's not what you want at the venue. Very disappointed (because) that broke our momentum. Not a great umpiring decision being made there, but it's part of the game," Klaasen said.
Klaasen scored the most runs with 47 and said that Krunal's twin-wicket over slowed down the SRH innings as they came in at 182/6 in 20 overs. "The wicket changed quickly in the middle. There was some spin and decent amount of bounce; there were a few rippers (by Krunal - Markram and Phillips' wicket.) That broke the moment, and it was difficult to play the harder-length balls. Need to bowl length and slower ones into the wicket; it can't be too full. It's not a bad wicket, but it's a bit slow," Klaasen said.

Unpopular opinion: If ticket prices are too low, you will have an unruly crowd.
