T20 WC 2026: India to take on South Africa as ICC announces warm-up games schedule

Team India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will lock horns with South Africa in their lone warm-up fixture ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 campaign at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday, February 4.

Interestingly, India is scheduled to play only one warm-up fixture, while India A is set to play two warm-up games against the United States of America and Namibia on Monday, February 2, and Friday, February 6, respectively.

On the other hand, the Salman Ali Agha-led Pakistan will also play only one warm-up match against Ireland on Wednesday, February 4, in Colombo. Meanwhile, Scotland, which replaced Bangladesh in the tournament, will play two warm-up matches against Afghanistan on Monday, February 2, and against Namibia on Wednesday, February 4.

Interestingly, England and Australia will not be playing any warm-up matches. However, both sides will play bilateral series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, respectively.
