Pace sensation, T Natarajan is all set to miss the first T20I between India and England scheduled to take place on 12th March at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Natarajan is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore and if reports are to be believed, the NCA has informed the Indian management that Natarajan won’t be available till March 12 which means that the pacer is certain to miss the 1st T20I. Natarajan became an overnight sensation after delivering impressive performances in India’s tour to Australia

Natarajan was picked as one of the four reserved bowlers on the tour to Australia after a successful 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. Later, he went on to make his debut in all formats for India. The seamer had a brilliant start to his career and picked up 6 wickets in the 3 match T20I series, the highest among the Indian bowlers. He also played an ODI where he returned with figures of 1-70 in his 10 overs. A series of injury to the Indian bowlers meant that Natarajan got an opportunity to represent India in whites. He made his Test debut in the fourth Test at Brisbane and picked up 3 wickets in the first inning.

The extent of Natarajan’s injury is unknown but the fans can expect him to be back on the field pretty soon. Earlier, Natarajan expressed his disappointment of not being selected in the Indian Test squad for the four match Test series against England.
