Suryakumar, who attended the post-match press conference, has made it clear that India vs Pakistan is no longer a rivalry because of the way the current Pakistani side is performing. He also added that India played better cricket than them in the Super Four clash.

"To this question, I want to say one thing. I feel you all should stop asking questions about this India vs Pakistan rivalry," Suryakumar said in the post-match press conference.

"According to me, if two teams are playing 15-20 matches and the scoreline is 7-7, or 8-7, then you can call it good cricket, you call it rivalry. If it’s 13-0, 10-1, I am not sure what the stat is. But, this is not a rivalry anymore. I feel we played better cricket than them between 7-15, and we bowled better also," he added.

India and Pakistan have met 15 times in T20 internationals. Out of those, India has come out on top in 12 games, dominating the head-to-head quite comfortably, while Pakistan has managed to win only three games.

Delving into the details of the game, India won the toss and forced Pakistan to bat first. Men In Green could post 171/5 in 20 overs, courtesy of Sahibzada Farhan's 58-run knock. On the other hand, Shivam Dube scalped two important wickets to turn the game upside down.

In response, Abhishek Sharma (74) and Shubman Gill (47) stitched a 105-run opening stand to turn the game towards India quite comfortably. Later, Tilak Varma (30*) finished off the proceedings in 18.5 overs with six wickets in hand.
