When asked about his ideal doubles partner, the batter, accompanied by his wife, stole the show with a lighthearted response.

A self-confessed tennis fan, Suryakumar revealed that this was his first-ever visit to Wimbledon, an experience he had long waited for.

“I’ve always heard about the atmosphere around Centre Court. I watch tennis quite a bit on television, and I’m here to experience that surreal feeling in person. I even read his book 'Serve to Win,' which really inspired me. I could relate to his journey and perseverance,” said Suryakumar as per the Times of India.

Suryakumar Yadav stated that legendary Novak Djokovic was his all-time favorite.

Team India's T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, joined the team. He and his wife, Devisha Shetty, walked the Centre Court, where he stole the show with a clever comment about his ideal doubles partner.

The Times of India reports that the captain immediately grabbed attention when he named a former captain, surprising everyone.

“Definitely MS Dhoni. He’s got speed, a lot of endurance, and is mentally very tough. Plus, whenever he’s not playing cricket these days, I’ve seen him playing a lot of tennis,” he said.

As for his favorites at Wimbledon, he picked Carlos Alcaraz for his fearless flair, while calling Pete Sampras and Roger Federer his Wimbledon favorites from the past.
