Former Indian all-rounder Suresh Raina, former South Africa skipper AB de Villiers and Caribbean legend Chris Gayle are set to make a return in the Indian T20 League. All of the three greats will be in a different during the min-auction of the next season of the Indian T20 League.
The legendary will trio will not only feature in the auction but will also be there in the role of the presenters during the auction for the 16th season of the cash-rich T20 tournament.
Notably, the Indian cricket Board is set to organize the mini-auction next week on the 23rd of December in Kochi. Earlier, the Board had announced the official list of 405 players who will go under the hammer for the 2023 edition of the tournament.
Coming back t the above trio of Raina, ABD, and Gayle, they will gather on the same day and the auction will be broadcasted live on JioCinema.
Here’s what the former greats of the game said about their comeback
“I am coming back to the IPL armed with a mike in hand, it is exciting to be a part of the IPL Player Auction 2023 along with my friends and former teammates and engage with fans across India,” said Suresh Raina while talking about his comeback to the Indian T20 League in a different role.
Later on, the former Bangalore star AB de Villiers also talked about what he feels special in India and also mentioned the live streaming of the auction on JioCinema.
“India is a very special place and to come back to the IPL in a new avatar with JioCinema will is an intriguing prospect. I hope fans enjoy and appreciate my work with a mic in hand in tow with these luminaries,” said ABD.
In the same series of statements, former World Cup winner England skipper Eoin Morgan expressed his feelings on joining the former greats of the game.
“I’m glad to join this league of extraordinary gentlemen on JioCinema for the IPL Player Auction 2023 With some of the sharpest minds of cricket dissecting the event, I reckon the fans are in for a treat this auction,” added Morgan.
