Former India opener Sunil Gavaskar believes that India will go in with a prolonged pace attack in the day night Test against England, bringing Jasprit Bumrah back in place of Kuldeep Yadav. India rested Bumrah in the second Test to keep him fresh for the third Test in Ahmedabad. Mohammed Siraj replaced Bumrah in the XI and performed well.

Speaking to Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar said that considering the conditions, India will be tempted to go in with a heavy pace attack, leaving out Kuldeep Yadav from the playing XI

"Bumrah for sure will be back in the team. You'll probably have a new-ball attack of Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep, he may find himself out of the team because it's a pink-ball Test. The ball does tend to do a little bit more as the evening approaches. And once you play under lights, it's a completely different seam, so I would imagine that would be the only change: Bumrah coming in place of Kuldeep," said Sunil Gavaskar.

The first game between India and England was Bumrah’s first Test in India and the pacer will be eager to make a strong impact in Motera, at his home ground. Ishant Sharma has also been very good for India. He delivered a man of the match performance in India’s first day night Test at home. Gavaskar further added that Hardik Pandya can also be included in the squad if he’s fit enough to bowl. Pandya was seen practising with the pink ball.

'I'm not sure if Hardik Pandya is fit enough to bowl, because if he is, he can also slot in, and India might actually go with a combination depending on the surface. I don't know what the surface at the new Motera will be like, but my feeling is that they will definitely go with three seam bowlers and two seamers," said Sunil Gavaskar.
