Both Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis have been enjoying a good IPL season so far with the bat for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Faf is the current leader in the race for Orange Cap as he has scored 422 runs in eight matches, at an average of 60.28. On the other hand, Kohli is in the second sport with 333 runs in eight matches, at an average of 47.57.

In their last match, RCB suffered a loss against KKR at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. But, before that match, Virat Kohli was seen initiating Faf du Plessis’ batting style during the pre-match warm-up session. That video has now gone viral and fans shared some funny comments on social media.

Speaking of RCB, they are currently in the fifth position with eight points in eight games. They will be in action again on 1 May as they will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). However, in the last three matches, Virat Kohli has been the stand-by skipper. Du Plessis got a rib injury during the CSK clash. Hence, after that, he played as an impact player only in the last three encounters. So, fans will keep their eyes on him whether Faf made a comeback as the skipper or not in the upcoming match. However, under Kohli’s captaincy, RCB won against PBKS and RR respectively. 

But, they lost to KKR and Kohli was not happy as he shared his disappointment during the post-match presentation. He said: “To be honest we handed over the game to them. We deserved to lose. We weren't professional enough. We bowled well but fielding was not up to standard. This was a freebie handed over to them. In the field, we dropped two chances, that cost us 25-30 runs. When batting, we set us ourselves up very well, but then four-five soft dismissals. Not wicket-taking balls but we hit straight to the fielders. Even while chasing, after losing wickets, one partnership brought us back in the game. We were one partnership short. We need to stay switched on, and not give away soft plays.”
