On Friday, August 29, the former Indian seamer Sreesanth’s wife Bhuvneshwari took to her Instagram handle to slam the IPL founder Lalit Modi and former Australian captain Michael Clarke for unveiling the never-before-seen video footage of the controversial slapgate incident involving Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth.

Moving into the details, Modi and Clarke revisited different past episodes of the Indian Premier League in a viral podcast. During the course of the podcast, Modi also went on to reveal the unseen footage of the slapgate incident.

“I’ll tell you what happened. I will give you the video. I have kept it back. Bhajji is a very dear friend of mine. I love him. It happened on the field and I was there. It was Bhajji and it was Sreesanth," Modi told Clarke while speaking on the Beyond23 podcast.

“The game was over, and the cameras were shut off. Only one of my security cameras was on. As the team finished playing, the players were high-fiving and shaking hands with each other," Modi added.

In the video, it is visible that Harbhajan delivered a back-handed slap to Sreesanth during the post-match handshakes between cricketers from both teams. However, the cricketing duo has put the episode down of late, with Harbhajan apologizing to the latter on several occasions.

Now, Bhuvneshwari slammed Modi and Clarke for releasing the 2008 IPL slap-gate clip, terming it “disgusting, heartless, and inhuman.

“Shame on you, @lalitkmodi and @michaelclarkeofficial. You people aren’t even human to drag up something from 2008 just for your own cheap publicity and views. Both @sreesanthnair36 and Harbhajan have long moved on; they are fathers now with school-going children and yet you try to throw them back into an old wound. Absolutely disgusting, heartless, and inhuman," Bhuvneshwari wrote on her Instagram story.

“@sreesanthnair36 has rebuilt his life with dignity and grace after every hardship he faced. As his wife and as the mother of his children, it is deeply painful for our family to see this resurface after 18 long years," Bhuvneshwari wrote.
