India and New Zealand have been confirmed as the two finalists of the World Test championship. They are slated to play the summit clash from June 18-22 at an undecided venue. Earlier, there were reports of Lords being the venue for the epic battle, but now, as per cricbuzz, Ageas Bowl in Southampton is the front runner to host the WTC final. Ageas Bowl is one of the prominent venue in England with a world class bio secure bubble attached by Hilton Countryside hotel. "I can't give much information apart from the fact that there has been discussion about it," confirmed Southampton cricket boss Rod Bransgrove about an approach to stage the final at the Ageas Bowl, reported Cricbuzz.

"I am the chairman of Southampton and I can say we have been asked to stage it and also inquired if Southampton is available. I don't know if anything has been finally decided as yet," Bransgrove said.

India qualified for the WTC final after defeating England 3-1 in the test series. After losing the first Test in Chennai, India bounced back in style and notched up 3 consecutive wins to march into the finals. Earlier, New Zealand became the first team to qualify for the WTC final after Australia postponed their tour to South Africa where they were slated to play a 3 Test series.
