Sophisticated Kohli switches to ‘Dilli ka Launda’ in Anushka Sharma’s absence, reveals former teammate

Pradeep Sangwan has played with Virat Kohli for the Delhi team in the domestic circuit. So, the player knows a fair bit of the Indian star cricketer’s professional side.

In a recent interview, the left-arm medium-pacer revealed a hilarious secret about Kohli’s. According to Sangwan, Kohli switches from being a ‘prankster’ to ‘sophisticated’ in presence of his wife Anushka Sharma.

Sangwan said that he did not expect Kohli to behave like the Kohli of old. Sangwan thought that as the star cricketer has grown in stature since they last met thus there would be changes in the personality of Kohli.

But to Sangwan’s surprise, Kohli was not much different from his original self. Although he noticed that Virat changed to being sophisticated when his wife Anushka Sharma was with him. But again, as soon as Anushka Sharma left, Kohli became the prankster as soon as Anushka left.

“As soon as Anushka crossed over to other side of the room, bhai chalu ho jaate (he starts with his pranks). The moment his wife returned, he became a nice boy. As soon as his wife went to meet someone, Delhi ka Virat Kohli was back to talking in the same old style,” said Sangwan as quoted by PinkVilla.

Virat Kohli recently made his 100th appearance in Tests for India against Sri Lanka in Mohali. Kohli scored a sublime 45 runs before being bowled. 

Worthy of mention is the fact that Anushka Sharma is returning to films with something cricket-related. She will be seen in the movie “Chakda Express”, a biography of the Indian Women’s team bowler Jhulan Goswami. She was last seen on screen in Anand L Rai’s Zero, alongside Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
