When his social media posts came in the limelight there was a lot of backlash for him from Women's rights activists. This happened right after he received a lot of praise for his wonderful bowling spell against India. For comparison, this is what happened to Ollie Robinson in a similar fashion after he made his Test debut for England. The Bangladesh Cricket Board said that it is investigating the matter.

"If the wife works, the husband's rights are not ensured," Tanzim posted on Facebook in 2022. "If the wife works, the child's rights are not ensured. If the wife works, her elegance is damaged.ย  "If the wife works, the family is ruined. If the wife works, the veil is ruined. If the wife works, society is ruined." the post read.

The Women in Bangladesh are a big part of the country and are responsible for the economic boom as they have helped a lot of garment factories bloom by giving their services there. The Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is also a woman. But Patriarchy still has its presence in Bangladesh.

In another post, Tanzim said that men that their sons would not have a "modest" mother if they married "a woman who is accustomed to free mixing with her male friends in a university". These comments that were made earlier were brought to the notice of Jannatun Nayeem Prity who is a feminist writer at Paris.

She said that women have played a big role in making the Bangladesh Team jerseys. The factories in the country have mostly been staffed with women. "I feel sorry for you that you don't consider your mother a normal human being," she added.
