The Indian team had their practice session at Dubai’s ICC Cricket Academy on Thursday. Notably, the Indians have arrived in Dubai for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. The men in blue will start their campaign in the tournament against the arch-rivals Pakistan on the 28th of August at Dubai International Stadium.

Apart from the action on the ground, there have been many videos of players enjoying there in Dubai other than cricket. The board of control for cricket in India (BCCI) has recently posted a video of skipper Rohit Sharma riding a scooter after a practice session. Notably, he was on rest during the recently-concluded three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.

Within the few seconds of the video tweet posted by BCCI, it took no time for fans to take a dig at the health of Rohit Sharma for being unfit. They said that the Indian captain might get injured within no time with this kind of activity. Whereas some other fans called him lazy for riding the scooter.

India to face Pakistan and Hongkong in the group stage

It is the first major international tournament where Rohit Sharma will be in the role of full-time skipper for India. On the other hand, he will also become the first player for the Indian to play in seven consecutive editions of the Asia Cup. Earlier, in the 2018 edition of the Asia Cup, Rohit was serving as the stand-in captain for team India. The men in blue won the title in that edition under his leadership.

In this edition of the Asia Cup, India will be in Group A with Pakistan and Hongkong. Interestingly, Hongkong has qualified for the tournament through the round of qualifiers played just before the commencement of the main event of the Asia Cup 2022. India will face the Hongkong in their second match of the tournament on the 31st of August.

Recently, the Indians are coming off a handsome series win against Zimbabwe in the recently-concluded three-match bilateral ODI clash. India won the series with a score line of 3-0 under the leadership of stand-in skipper KL Rahul.
