Incredible stuff @cricketireland, congratulations on making the Super 12s 👏🏽 Can't help but feel sad for WI though. WC won't be the same without the Caribbean flavour. #IREvsWI #T20worldcup22

Speaking of the match, Brandon King was the only batter who showed some instinct with the bat and played a brilliant knock of 48 runs with six boundaries and a six to his name. Other than him, the second-highest individual score for West Indies in this match was 24 runs scored by opener Johnson Charles. West Indies could manage to post a total of 146 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Gareth Delany of Ireland scalped three wickets by conceding only 16 runs in his quota of four overs.
While chasing the target, all three top-order batters played brilliant knocks to help Ireland clinch a comfortable win. The opening pair of Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie stitched an opening partnership of 73 runs for the first wicket whereas the unbeaten 77-run stand for the second wicket between Stirling and Tucker sent the West Indies straight out of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Eventually, Ireland won the match by a massive margin of nine wickets.
