The eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup has kicked off with the inaugural encounter between Sri Lanka and Namibia. The minnows Namibia completely outplayed the Lankan tigers by a big margin of 55 runs to win the match in an emphatic style. The bowling lineup of Namibia bundled up the Asian champions only on the score of 108 runs in 19 overs.

The Netherlands was playing against Sri Lanka in the group match of the 20-20 World Cup 2014 held in Bangladesh. The Sri Lankan team was bowling first in the match. The lethal bowling attack of Sri Lanka led by the former legendary pacer Lasith Malinga gave no chance to Dutch batters and bundled them up with only on a score of 39 runs.

Subsequently, Sri Lanka won that World Cup and emerged as the champions after defeating India in the final.

Netherlands – 44 against Sri Lanka in Sharjah – 2021

It was once against Netherlands vs Sri Lanka in the 20-20 World Cup 2021. Both teams locked horns in the group stage of last year’s World Cup in 2021. The match was played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah. It was another time when Sri Lanka was bowling first against the Netherlands.

Sri Lankan bowlers happened to dominate again and this time could let the Netherlands score only five runs more than their previous World Cup total against Sri Lanka. The Dutch team was wrapped up only on the score of 44 runs.

West Indies – 55 against England in Dubai – 2021

West Indies were locking horns with England in the group match of last year’s World Cup in 2021 played in the United Arab Emirates. The English bowling attack was looking very dangerous on the day and they outmuscled the Caribbean batting lineup.

Finally, West Indies could score only 55 runs after losing their all wickets and England won the match by a massive margin.

Scotland – 60 against Afghanistan in Sharjah – 2021

Afghanistan and Scotland were locking horns with each other in the group match of last year’s 20-20 World Cup. Both teams played this match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah. Afghanistan attacks were on fire over the Scottish batters.

Scotland's batting crumbled down and fell prey to the Afghanistan bowlers only on a very low total of 60 runs which was also the jointly lowest score of the 2021 edition.

Ireland – 68 against West Indies in Providence – 2010

The 20-20 World Cup of 2010 was played in the Caribbean backyard, the hosts were facing the Irish team in the group match of the tournament. The Caribbean bowlers who had more than enough experience on their home turfs, bundled up Ireland only on the score of 68 runs.
