Shubman Gill better than MS Dhoni & Rohit Sharma? Virender Sehwag’s son Aaryavir makes a huge revelation

Former Indian opening batter Virender Sehwag’s son, Aaryavir Sehwag, has selected the current Test captain Shubman Gill over MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma in an exclusive interaction with InsideSport.

Notably, the Junior Sehwag is plying his trade for the Central Delhi Kings in the ongoing Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 season after being bought for INR 8 Lakh in the auction, which was held a few months ago.

While the 17-year-old chose Gill among many other options, he eventually ended up choosing Virat Kohli over Gill to conclude the interaction. Interestingly, Aaryavir is yet to play a game in the ongoing DPL 2025 campaign.

On the other hand, Virender Sehwag, during his interaction with the official broadcaster Sony Sports Network, has backed the Indian team, led by fearless captain Suryakumar Yadav, to win the Asia Cup 2025 campaign in the United Arab Emirates.

"This Indian team has the right mix of youth and experience, and under Surya's fearless leadership, they can dominate Asia once again. His attacking mindset suits the T20 format perfectly, and if the team plays with the same intent, I have no doubt India can lift the trophy," Sehwag said to Sony Sports Network.

Notably, Suryakumar Yadav will have Shubman Gill as his deputy after the Indian opening batter made his comeback to the T20I team after a gap of more than a year. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah is also set to be a part of the showpiece event.

"This campaign beautifully brings alive the heartbeat of Indian cricket. No matter which part of the country you belong to, when India plays, emotions unite us. I could feel that same passion in the film, and it's this connection that makes cricket so powerful,” he added.
