‘Shreyas Iyer ka sangat ka asar’ - Fans react to viral Instagram story of Rinku Singh with Nitish Rana’s wife leaning on his shoulder after KKR’s elimination from IPL 2023

On 20 May 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) got eliminated officially from the ongoing IPL after losing against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. They finished the current IPL season with 12 points in 14 games. However, Rinku Singh played another gem of a knock against LSG but his effort went in vain as KKR fell short of just one run while chasing 177 runs.

Rinku scored 67* runs off 33 balls, including six fours and four sixes. The whole cricketing fraternity along with KKR teammates lauded another top performance from this batter. But, on 21 May, Rinku shared an Instagram story of him with KKR skipper, Nitish Rana’s wife, Saachi Marwah Rana leaning herself on his shoulder. She even reshared the story on her Instagram account. Rinku Singh has scored 474 runs in IPL 2023

Rinku Singh had enjoyed a great season with the bat this time around for KKR. In 14 matches, he scored 474 runs, at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.53. His several knocks during crunch situations for his teams have helped him to become a great player in this edition.

Even, after the LSG defeat, Rana said: “Looks like I have spoken Rinku all 14 times that I have held the mic after a match! I really don't have words to define him. If he can bat that way in that situation, then he can do anything!" Even, the former England cricketer, Kevin Pietersen hailed Rinku as the best finisher in IPL 2023.

While talking on the Star Sports show, Pietersen said: "His numbers are frightening in the chase. He has been brilliant this season. So, I can’t go any further than those runs and sixes and their final over in Ahmedabad; I mean, that was just insane."
