Barbados Royals and Guyana Amazon Warriors locked horns in the last group match of the Caribbean Premier League. GAW skipper Shimron Hetmyer won the toss and asked Barbados to bat first at the Providence stadium in Guyana. The bowlers of Guyana were very effective except for the 25-year-old pace all-rounder Odean Smith. He conceded 42 runs in his quota of four overs and could scalp only two wickets.
Other than the poor performance, a video of Odean Smith from the match has gone viral over social media. In this video, he can be seen kicking the ball hit by Barbados’ batter and this kick cost two runs for his team in the low-scoring encounter ahead of the playoffs.
