Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will miss the three-match home T20I series against Pakistan. Shakib was ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup following a Grade 1 injury which he picked up in the match against West Indies. The southpaw, however, is likely to regain peak fitness before the two-match Test series that follows the T20Is.

"Shakib will take at least three weeks to recover and get back to the field. He might be able to play the Test series," Bangladesh Cricket Board's chief physician Debashish Chowdhury was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan, who missed the team's last three games of the 20-20 World Cup owing to abdominal pain is likely to return for the series. The T20I series is set to get underway on November 19, with the other two matches to be played on November 20 and 22 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. The series will be followed by two Tests to be played from November 26 -30 and December 4 - 8 respectively.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh experienced dismal outings in the 20-20 World Cup and lost all their Super 12s games. Pakistan, on the other hand, have won all their games so far and have qualified for the semifinals. On form, it will be a stern challenge for Bangladesh. However, the Tigers did beat Australia and New Zealand at home recently thus the series will be exciting for the cricket fanatics.
