Star Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi is not a part of the team for the last couple of months due an injury. But he is now a part of the plans of the men in green for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022 on Australian soil. Not having Shaheen in the team forced Pakistan to find a rhythm in some major international clashes.
Although, the 22-year-old pacer has come up with a warning sign to the opponents who will take on Pakistan in the marquee tournament. The young lad took to Twitter to post a photo of him in a casual outfit. Other than that, there was something else that caught the attention of the cricketing fraternity. It was nothing but his caption in which he went on to write, “Calm before the storm.”
Pakistan still waiting for Shaheen Afridi to be fully fit and available
In the absence of a Khyber-based pace sensation, Babar Azam’s men lost the Asia Cup 2022 followed by a defeat in the seven-match T20I against England. Even after being a part of the Pakistani squad, it can’t be said that Afridi is completely fit to be on the cricketing field in action at the highest level of the game for Pakistan.
Currently, Pakistan is in action during the tri-series having Bangladesh and New Zealand as the two other teams. They are now playing in the first match against Bangladesh. The right-arm speedster is in the squad of Pakistan for this series but couldn’t make it to the playing XI of the team in the first match.
Pakistan needs Shaheen to be fully fit and available for the 20-20 World Cup 2022 as they are all set to begin their campaign in the marquee tournament against arch-rivals India.
