Before this clash, he was having a dull series as he picked up only one wicket and scored 12 runs in the first two matches. So, seeing him performing, fans went crazy and relieved as he could be one of the important players in terms of the upcoming ODI World Cup. During the post-match presentation, Hardik shared that he had some input before the game and that worked for him. Listening to that, fans shared their views.

“I was just waiting to get the opportunity and once I got the rhythm I could get going.” - Hardik Pandya

He said: “Wanted to spend some time. Wicket was doing well. Had a wonderful chat with Virat a few days back. He had some great pointers. He wanted me to spend some time on the crease. That kind of stayed in my mind. I was just waiting to get the opportunity and once I got the rhythm I could get going. When I get one ball out of the middle, things become very different. I have seen that throughout my career.”
