Sanju Samson is currently busy playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the ongoing IPL. In the last edition, he led the team to the final. But, RR lost against Gujarat Titans (GT). So, fans are hoping that this year, RR can win their second IPL title. However, the team have managed a good start to the tournament with two wins out of three games.

Sanju Samson scored some vital runs at a quick pace in the first two matches. But in the last match against Delhi Capitals (DC), he scored a four-ball duck. So, fans were hoping for a better performance from the star batter in the next match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). CSK locked horns with RR on 12 April 2023.

Speaking of the match, RR dealt with a blow as their prime pacer Trent Boult missed the clash due to a niggle. After the toss, MS Dhoni asked RR to bat and Sanju Samson said: "We would have liked to bowl first too. We have started well but we need to continue the momentum. We have experience and the youngsters to do that. It has always been a pleasure to come to Chepauk and play here. Boulty misses out due to a small niggle and we have a couple of changes, you will come to know that. It's difficult to keep track with the sub rule."
For RR, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal came out to open the innings. Jaiswal scored only 10 runs off eight balls, including two fours. Then, Devdutt Padikkal came and scored 38 runs off 26 balls. After that, Sanju Samson came out to bat. But, he failed again as he got out on a duck again. Ravindra Jadeja bowled a peach of a delivery to bamboozle his off-stump. Finally, RR scored 175 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Seeing such a failure, fans were not happy and they slammed the batter on social media brutally.
