Sam Curran

The Test series between India and England is locked at 1-1. Both the sides have given it their everything, and there is plenty to play for in the final two Test matches. And now, news has come in that even though Sam Curran would be in India on 26th February, well before the start of the fourth Test, he will still not be available.

However, Curran will be a part of the England limited overs squad that will take on the Indian side in 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs. The same was confirmed through an official ECB media statement as well.

“Sam Curran will rejoin the England squad via the charter flight carrying other members of the limited-overs line-up to India, on February 26th,” read the statement.

On his part, Curran is really excited to play red ball cricket in India and is looking forward to the challenge. He also added that he has watched plenty of Test match cricket in India on TV, and is hopeful of going into the nets and adapting himself to the conditions.

“I haven’t played any red-ball cricket in India, so it’s going to be a very different challenge and something I’m excited about. I watch a lot of Test cricket in India on TV when they are playing, so I’m really looking forward to hopefully getting out there and getting in the nets and adapting to those conditions and taking on the challenge,” said Curran as quoted by Sportstar.

The third Test match between the two sides will be a day-night Test match and will be played with the Pink ball. The Third Test will be played in Ahmedabad from 24th February 2021.
