Sachin Tendulkar wants Indian cricketers to keep three things in mind in England

Former Indian legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has shared a few words of wisdom for the young Indian team that is scheduled to take on England in the first Test of the five-match series, starting on June 20 at Headingley, Leeds.

In his exclusive conversation with RevSportz, Tendulkar stated that the Indian team should be wary of three important things. Firstly, Tendulkar felt that the overhead conditions should be kept in mind while the air quality and pitch conditions are the second and third-most important things to keep in mind.

Furthermore, Sachin offered a piece of advice to the Indian batting line-up, stating that there would be a few phases of play, where shot offering would turn out to be a bit tough. It is important to stay careful during those phases of play. He reckoned that Leeds would be a beautiful track to bat on when the sun is out.

"In England you always keep three things in mind when you play. First, the overhead conditions. Second the air quality and third the pitch condition. Each one of these factors influence how you should play. There will be phases of play when you will find it very difficult to play shots. So you need to be careful and identify such phases,” Tendulkar told RevSportz.

“It is not a defensive act to leave balls. Rather, it is also a show of intent to be able to correctly leave balls and play for the right time. And then when the sun is out it is a beautiful track to bat on where the batters can score a lot of runs.”
