The race to the playoff in IPL 2023 is heating up as the tournament is inching closer to the end of the group stage. As of now, only seven matches are left in the group stage, and still, only Gujarat Titans (GT) have qualified with 18 points in 13 matches. Both Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are already out of the race.

So, still, seven teams are in contention to get a palace in the top four. However, RCB are currently in the fifth position with 12 points in 12 games. While LSG are in the third position with 15 points in 13 games. However, these teams got involved in a heated clash due to the ugly bust-up Virat Kohli had with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir.

LSG have one game left while RCB have two games left in the group stage so far 

So, now a possibility has arisen where these two teams can meet each other again in the eliminator by finishing in the third and fourth spot of the table after the group stage. As per the possibility, RCB need to win their remaining two matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT) respectively to reach 16 points. Then, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) need to defeat Delhi Capitals (DC) in the last match to solidify the second spot with 17 points. Along with that, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) need to defeat LSG as LSG will finish with 15 points.

SRH need to defeat Mumbai Indians (MI) as Rohit Sharma and his men will finish with 14 points. Finally, Punjab Kings (PBKS) need to lose either against DC or Rajasthan Royals (RR) as they can then finish with 14 points maximum. Thus, with 16 points, RCB will finish in the third spot and LSG will finish in the fourth spot with 15 points. Then, both teams will clash against each other in the eliminator in Chennai on 24 May 2023. So, seeing such a possibility, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media.
