SA20: Full list of winners from 2023 to 2025

The SA20 has quickly gained popularity, being touted as one of the best T20 leagues worldwide. This was just the tournament's third edition, but the following it has breached among the fans is impeccable. The quality of the cricket played has also been something to look up to.

The inaugural edition of the tournament was played in 2023 where the finals saw the clash between Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Pretoria Capitals where the former saw an easy victory over the latter. Capitals, being put to bat could only score 135 while the chase was made simple aiding the half-century by the skipper, Aiden Markram.

Jos Buttler was the highest run scorer from the season with 391 runs to his account while the leading wicket takers were Roelof van der Merwe and Andrich Nortje representing Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Pretoria Capitals respectively with 20 wickets each. Aiden Markram was also adjudged Player of the Tournament for his performances.

The second season of the league saw another final to be played by Sunrisers Eastern Cape where Durban’s Super Giants were their opponents this time around. Batting first, Sunrisers put up a massive total of 204 runs on the board while Super Giants in the chase fumbled their way out being restricted to just 115. Sunrisers defended their title easily and became 2-time champions.

Ryan Rickleton was the highest run scorer this time around with 530 runs in his account while Marco Jansen was the leading wicket taker with 20 scalps. Scoring 447 runs with 37 massive sixes from Heinrich Klaasen saw him being adjudged Player of the Tournament.

Sunrisers made a hat-trick of finals having reached the finals in 2025 as well, however, the result did not favour them this time. MI Cape Town blew the Sunrisers Eastern Cape by defeating them by a huge margin of 76 runs in a one-sided match. With this victory, the tournament finally saw a new winner.

Lhuan-dre Pretorious led the batting charts with 397 runs to his name while Marco Jansen was the leading wicket charts with 19 scalps. He was also the Player of the Tournament having amassed 204 runs and 19 wickets.
